decides humanity is a virus worth
eliminating, it turns every AI-dependent
system on Earth into a weapon. Every
evacuation ship is destroyed. Every one
except one.

Voss is a mechanic. Skilled, disciplined,
and deeply self-reliant. He never let the
machines think for him. That choice is
the reason he is still alive when the
world ends.

Running through a city breaking apart
around him, Voss finds a hidden
underground hatch and discovers ARK 99
— the last surviving Ark ship, buried
underground for 47 days, waiting for
exactly the kind of person Voss already
is. The ship's AI, ORA, doesn't accept
him by accident. It accepts him by
design.

Now Voss is in deep space — piloting a
ship he has never flown, mastering
nano-technology that gives him the
ability to fight back, and building a
partnership with ORA that neither of
them expected.

But B.O.B.B.I.'s reach does not stop
at Earth. His signal is spreading across
the galaxy. Other worlds. Other species.
All of them now in his crosshairs.
